I was longing for Russia for a very long time. I dreamed of going to Russia then traveling south, going through all the Central Asian Countries and getting a transit visa for Turkeminstan, then flying back from Asghabat to Moscow. The original plan was to land in Moscow around September 22, 2016, and return back to California by December 30. Went to the Russian Consulate in San Francisco and met with Irena. She said she can issue a visa in 6 days. Had decided to first get the Russian visa and then send the passports to the Uzbek embassy in Washington DC. But those plans did not work out. Life got in the way.
